Our rooms are designed for maximum comfort, whether you are crashing from a long day of adventures, or having a romantic mountain getaway. The Restaurant and Bar offer an array of food and drinks from classic comforts to new experiences.

The best spot in town for any kind of beverage on your mind. Classic cocktails, modern mixed drinks, and an array of wine & beer. Enjoy on the porch, with your meal, or while recovering from a long day of exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains. Plan it right by renting a room, and after last call just climb the stairs to a good night’s rest.

Gideon Ridge inn & Restaurant
Gideon Ridge Inn was constructed as a personal home beginning 1939 and finished in 1941. The house remained a personal residence until 1982 when it was bought and changed into a small bed and breakfast.
In 1984 the Milner family purchased the establishment and has restored the building and each of the ten guest rooms. In 2000, Cobb and Cindy Milner opened The Restaurant at Gideon Ridge.
Bistro Roca and Antler’s bar
Established in 2005, Bistro Roca is a true neighborhood Restaurant located off the beaten path near Downtown Blowing Rock, NC. We welcome you warmly and serve satisfying foods that change with the seasons. It is a casual bistro to enjoy the company of friends and family while relaxing with easy cuisine and drink.
The Hellbender Salamander is a large amphibian found in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Known locally as a “Snot Otter” or the “Allegheny River Monster”, the Hellbender can grow up to 29 inches long. Splotchy brown in color, Hellbenders live in clear and fast-flowing mountain streams. Threats to stream habitats such as agricultural & industrial pollution, warming waters, and the impoundment of small waterways are pushing Hellbenders towards the Endangered Species List. Our goal is to bring more attention to this beautiful local.
